PLUTO’S FINAL RECKONING IN CAPRICORN

Pluto Goes Direct in Capricorn: The Final Reckoning

On October 12, Pluto goes direct in Capricorn for the last time before it shifts into Aquarius, marking the end of an era. This is the final stretch of Pluto’s slow, grinding work through Capricorn—the sign of corporation, authority, government, tradition and old systems. And as Pluto moves through its final anaretic degree, we can expect global power struggles, corruption, and the collapse of outdated institutions to rise to the surface. The world around us is resetting, and the cracks in the old paradigms are becoming impossible to ignore.

Not only that, but the Earth itself is responding—Capricorn is an Earth sign—and we are already witnessing this in the form of natural disasters and environmental upheavals, as the planet undergoes its own form of reset.

But Pluto’s transformation isn’t just about world affairs. It’s about you, too.

Personal Transformation: Time to Clear the Old

On a personal level, it’s time to reflect on how far you’ve come and what you’ve outgrown. Pluto is asking you to confront tough truths, let go of limiting beliefs, and shed what no longer serves you. Now, Pluto’s final push through Capricorn asks: What’s left to release? What foundations are you building for your next chapter?

If you have primary placements in Capricorn, Cancer, Aries, or Libra—Sun, Moon, Ascendant, or Midheaven—this energy will feel especially potent. If not, look to the Capricorn house in your birth chart. In this area, the call is to transform, to let go of what’s outdated and prepare for new growth.

What Comes Next

Pluto’s shift into Aquarius in 2025 until 2044 will bring its own wave of change, focused more on innovation, collective progress and people power. But for now, it’s time to complete the work of Capricorn—clearing the debris of old systems, whether in your personal life or in the world around you.

So ask yourself: What have you learned? What are you ready to leave behind? Pluto challenges you to dismantle what’s not working and step into a new, more evolved future with an empowered sense of purpose.
